I'm sure a few of you remember Ocean Eddies in VB.  It was located right at 14th street on the Fishing Pier and boy was that place wild.  I was in a band called "The Remainders" and we were house band there for 2 seasons.  Right in front of the stage there was a platform the locals called the "Tramp Ramp" where women would get up and dance right in front of the stage literally about 1 foot away and 3 ft off the ground.  I can't count how many times a lady would fall off the ramp and right into one of the band members and equipment.  I got pretty good at holding a guitar and still being able to break a woman's fall before she wrecked my equipment and hurt herself but our drummer wasn't so lucky.  I recall a time when a lady fell RIGHT into his set and took out cymbals and other assorted drums.  Like I said, it was a blast there and mad wild.  Hope some of you remember Ocean Eddies Cool

I'm not actually in a band (unless you count my computer) but I play roadie for my girlfriend when she gigs with her band. It's all small venue stuff, but I get to experience all the joys of being in a band without playing in front of an audience (or lack of an audience) for four hours. Every place has its own personality with its own set of memorable characters. The old guy at the bar tipping the cute ladies in the band, the half-drunk girl at the front table faking the lyrics as she sings along (rather loudly and out of tune), the military guys who think its karaoke night, the opinionated regulars wondering who the $%^$ is playing, and on and on. It's a fun double life.
